A quick tip for traveling abroad with gadgets

Posted by: admin In: Home Entertainment|personal

6 way splitter with travel adapterIf you’re anything like me (by which I don’t mean greying & fat) then you’ll probably take more than a couple of gadgets on holiday with you. This can cause issues when trying to charge them all at the end of the day.

This year the solution hit me – rather than taking a load of adapter plugs I just took one and plugged a UK 6 way extension cable in to it.

I realise that this isn’t an earth shattering idea but it made my life easier.

Now that is a good tip. Thanks. I’ll be going on a 3 months missionary trip soon, and so this had come at just the right time for me.

Now that one’s smart. Turned out I already had one though anyway. What’s the weight/size difference between carrying 4/6 of them vs that? It’s not the cost so much as the luggage restrictions…

Don’t forget that that little extension leaves at least *four* UK plug sockets dangling free in foreign climes… in a hotel room that’s likely to have other neighbours needing to plug UK gadgets into the mains too.

You can easily recover at least part of the cost of your holiday by taking a load of further 4-way extension leads, plugging them into this one and ‘renting’ out 3-pin socket availability to others around you!
