Hello, I’m Mark Ford you can call me Fordie.

I’ve always been fascinated by tech. I’m not sure where it all started, but my ZX81, Star Trek, The Book of the Future and The Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy were all early influences.

After a number of different jobs I accidentally got my first role in IT 25 years ago, working on a help desk. Since then I’ve worked in web development for the most part as a front end developer. In the last few years I have been less hands on, heading up delivery on the Government Gateway (thank me later), and more recently the National Booking Service for Covid Vaccinations in England. These days my interests are IoT, Ai, Sci-Fi , phone photography, and building local digital communities, so expect posts along those lines. Maybe with the occasional thought on digital transformation thrown in, we’ll see
